Is there any character you'd want Sampo to interact with? I think he should meet every star rail character at least once as a treat

100% agree with you anon. Sampo is a pretty versatile character so you can just plop him anywhere with anyone and it's guaranteed to be entertaining.

As for who I personally want to see him interact with...

Gallagher is the first that comes to mind. I'm not sure what possessed me to form this thought but something about how different they are is very entertaining to me. I imagine they would be very chill with each other, just drinking buddies. I'm mostly interested in the two of them talking about their ideologies and worldviews. But then again, I'm a sucker for chill conversations between different characters.

I know technically we've seen Sampo with Black Swan, but I'd like to see more of the two, without Sparkle's interference. I imagine it would be like Acheron 2.0 for Black Swan. Maybe she decides to poke her nose where she shouldn't again and instead of inner Acheron, it's Aha's insanity that greets her or something. Either way it'd be interesting to see their interactions if Black Swan acknowledges how different Sampo is from your usual Masked Fool.

For the more comedic side of things having Sampo interact with "the ghost busters" would be very fun. Guinaifen would help him set up a channel where he would either teach people how to lock pick or to scam people. I'm not sure how Sushang would interact with him but I'm guessing she would be overly suspicious of him. Oh, but he would definitely bicker with Mr Tail, Huohuo would try to stop them.

I'd love to see a canon interaction between Gepard and Sampo as well as Luka and Sampo. I'm very curious about their canon dynamic and if we (the fanbase) got it right.

I know technically he and Bronya had been in the same scene but they never talked to one another so I don't count it.

An interaction between him and the other Astral Express members would be very nice too. I wonder how someone like Welt and Himeko would approach him. Obviously they probably heard about him, the question is, did they manage to figure out that he was basically the one pulling the strings during the Belobog arc? I have a feeling they would.

Honestly, seeing him talk to people like Aventurine, Dr Ratio, Boothill, Argenti and Sunday would be interesting. They all are pretty different, but seeing them together would be rather entertaining, either one on one or in a group setting.

Lastly, I'd love to see his canon dynamic with Serval. We know they were friends at some point, and I've seen people headcanon that she holds a bit of hostility towards Sampo, so I wanna see if it's true or not.

diamond eyed characters seeeeem to have smth to do with money or gaining etc? except for lingsha. tho she might have that too idk i haven't read her character stories. but if that's really like a purposeful group then that shape makes sense!

misha is not. real. so idk if i need to count him. and he's the only one of his "kind" so it doesn't matter much either hehe

huohuo also seems to be a stylistic choice rather than have meaning

kafka and black swan are. interesting. they have some things in common - both being nihility characters, and knowing wayyyy more than other characters lol - but it's not like they're the only 2 characters who fit that bill 😭 i mean silver wolf knows as much as kafka if not more, and she's also nihility, so. ig they're both extremely chill if that means anything (kafka can't feel fear, but we know black swan can, so it's nothing like that either 😭). idk i'm lost. cool design choice i'll give them that

i'm lost abt pela too ngl. i think other than ratio she's the first character i noticed to have weirdly shaped pupils so that's smth

jiaoqiu and yukong are both foxians, but. these eyes are not foxian exclusive, and other foxians have normal eyes (and huohuo is there also bless her soul). other than that idk if they have much in common either? i'd say smth like being extremely dedicated to their duty/to one person but again it's not exclusive to them so eh.

now acheron and ratio are both interesting in that case.

don't @ me bc i never played another hoyo game so i'm using info i heard through others. but. ik acheron is like this universe's version of a character that exists in other games. so that's cool.

and, there's now a theory running around that ratio knows he's in a game/that star rail's reality in a simulation, in part connected to prometheus from. i wanna say hi3?? who is also bronya and silver wolf or smth (and silver wolf also knows she's in a game as one can probably guess from her lines). i could not tell you more than that

^but what i'm getting at by laying both of these out is that maybe being aware of reality being... not real...? is relevant here? idk how aware acheron is, at least on a conscious level, but i assume there's Something. but then why does silver wolf have normal eyes. help me

Done with the bridge, Gronder is skipped, and done with Merceus also, so all that's left is two maps of Edelgard, Shambhala and I guess evil Rhea or whatever.

I have to say that I did not initially appreciate just HOW MUCH of the post-skip is copy-pasted. I also checked the chapter list for AM, and it's pretty much entirely the same. We take the same freaking bridge in Alliance territory for some god-forsaken reason, apparently? Even though an Arianrhod map exists? That's going to be interesting in like six months when I get to it.

But while Claude making us do VW by proxy was kind of funny in a stupid way, Gronder is a disaster. I am in genuine awe of how poorly handled that was.

So Gronder takes place off screen. We don't go there AND, get this, the entire month when it would take place is just erased from the calendar. There's no April! They did not even pretend to be putting in some effort here. They just excised the entire month along with the map.

And just thinking about Gronder gives me a headache. What was Claude even doing there? Leicester is specifically a hot mess, and I can't see us killing Lorenz at the bridge improving the situation much. And yet Claude goes off to Gronder and uuuh "disappears." At this point, I'm going to assume that he sent Judith's troops and dumped all that on us because he had already decided to peace out and he went to Gronder purely for the purposes of faking his death. That makes about as much sense as anything else.

Dimitri ghost is also funny. My dude, I still don't know anything about you... please go haunt someone who cares.

Anyway, liveblogging notes:

Catherine says that Alliance nobles are weird but in a good way. You won't find "such big-hearted nobles" elsewhere. This is in reference to Judith (and Claude by extension) helping us.

Shamir considers Judith's spy network to be impressive, given that she had people able to spot Rhea being taken away by the Imperial Army in the chaos of the invasion five years ago.

It's mentioned that aside from Count Gloucester being supposedly devout (doubt), the commoners also support the Knights of Seiros. (Update: this is very funny given that he sends his son to die on our swords for uuuh no particular reason.)

Lord Gwendal's daughter fell in love with Sylvain once lol (Update: Ingrid's version of this is that, at fifteen, Sylvain sought "relentlessly" to involve himself with her.)

The two territories on either side of the Great Bridge of Myrddin are Acheron to the north (the one in Lorenz's paralogue) and Bergliez to the south. That's Caspar's dad, and he's been getting on swimmingly in Edelgard's new regime.

The dark merchant looks like one of the Agarthan mages lol, but the quest to get them to appear gives you a Morfis battalion, so I suppose that's where they're actually from?

Seteth says alcohol has little effect on him.

It's specified that Rhea had disabled the Phantoms and Altered Golems in the Holy Tomb in order to allow the ceremony (of throne-sitting) to take place. It seems that she also didn't create those defenses but rather they came pre-built with the Tomb...? Or maybe Seteth means Seiros (not "Rhea") created them back in the day, who can even tell.

Alois is pretty nice to use. Shamir is consistently useful. Seteth is fine. Hanneman is annoying as hell and had gotten killed way too many times. And Manuela not having physic is a bad joke.

The great bridge is a bit of hilarious mess. We get ambushed by warp reinforcements from Acheron, then Lorenz and his goons show up too. Bye, Lorenz. It's your own fault for dying.

Seteth comments on how some imperial troops were willing to lay down their lives to hold the bridge (Edelgard's crazy fangirl Ladislava), but eh.

Suddenly, Gilbert. He's still alive? He says he's serving Dimitri, who was hiding in Fraldarius territory. We didn't find this out until Gronder in VW. This time, the Kingdom rebels reach out in order to ally with the Church. I wanted to ally, but Seteth wouldn't let me. :(((( Seteth, let me live!!! Enough already! Anyway, instead, we just let them use our new bridge. Which all has some funny implications, since apparently Claude is too shady to ally with but also how did Dimitri's super mysterious force get to Gronder in VW?

Anyway, I guess that's why we don't go to Gronder. But I'm uuuuh confused about why Claude was even there, per the off-screen recap? He didn't ask to use our bridge, so how did he even get to Gronder? And WHY? The Alliance was still massively divided last we checked with them. Sure, we killed Lorenz, but I can't see that making things any less chaotic. Judith gave her forces to us, and even between the church and the alliance, it was always emphasized in VW how outnumbered we were. Why would Claude even go to Gronder? How did he get there......... And now he's uh missing (sus man).

Seriously, did he send us those troops because he decided he wanted to dump the war on us and secretly peace out? Or??

Anyway, Dimitri fucked up Edelgard but also got killed. Bye, we hardly knew ya. We still have a vision of his... ghost?? OK, sure.

Take your pick which is funnier, this or Hilda just kinda seeing him die off screen somewhere, after we beat his ass.

Location card for the ghost scene is "outer city" iirc.

April is just GONE. It doesn't exist! Like, we just don't even get a calendar for it?? What the actual fuck?!

Felix switches between thinking Dimitri was dead all along and thinking he was "alive all this time." Whatever.

Alois says we disguised ourselves as enemy soldiers to sneak in..... Where?? When did this happen? We didn't sneak onto the bridge, and if this is about the strategy for Merceus, we haven't discussed it yet.

Yeah, this is apparently a plan that we just haven't been shown yet, because Shamir says we gave the order to dress all our troops in Imperial armor. News to me!

Update: We can even ask "Disguises?" when we're already on the Merceus approach. Is Seteth claiming his strategy was an order from Byleth while handling everything behind the scenes? And then gaslights by saying it was your idea (that you forgot about)?

For a knight, we pick up Lavandula grass, an herb with tiny purple flowers. Its calming scent relieves stress. You make tea out of it.

Ashe mentions that Dedue is missing, and his death is not actually confirmed. But from what I've been told, his appearance in Enbarr was also cut from SS.

I just realized there's a huge globe in the library. I wonder if anyone's been able to get a good look at what's drawn on it. Seteth sure plays up how he totally does not recognize those ballistic missiles.

Come to think of it, how did Jeritza know that the missiles were coming?

Seteth spells out a plan we sure did not have before. I can't believe they have him both railroading you earlier and also playing up how you're totally such a cool and smart strategist...

Date Planning - TickleTober2022 Day 14 (Self-Insert; OC x Canon)

Summary: While Todoroki and Shiori are walking home from school, the two start coming up with dates to go on. When Todoroki doesn’t seem enthusiastic about them, Shiori comes up with the perfect way to help her boyfriend be more expressive.

Word Count: 1492

It was the start of another weekend at UA, and class 1-A was lucky enough that they didn't get any homework from Aizawa. After saying goodbye to her friends, Koda Shiori started her trek home.

"Hey! Shiori!" called out a familiar voice.

The girl whipped her head around and saw her boyfriend jog up to her.

"Hey, Shoto!" Shiori said, "What's up?"

"Oh, I just... wanted to walk home with you." Todoroki said with a faint blush.

The two heroes-in-training have been together for a little over a year, and Koda never gets tired of seeing how flustered Todoroki gets when asking to do "couple things," like walking her home.

"Sure! I'd love your company!" Koda said with a smile.

The half-and-half hero smiled at his girlfriend, a faint redness on his cheeks. Shiori would take the bus home, but walking home beside her boyfriend beats taking public transportation.

"Last week's date was super fun, don't you think?" Shiori suddenly asked.

"Hm? Oh, yeah. Really fun," Todoroki said.

"I'd never expect you to be so good at go-karting."

"Well, Midoriya and the other guys had invited me to go with them once before, so I guess I picked up on it."

Shiori chuckled while listening to her boyfriend.

"We should go there again next time for a date," Koda said, "How does that sound?"

"Sounds fun," Todoroki said calmly, "Let's do it."

Shiori's smile fell at what her boyfriend said.

"Well, where would you like to go next week, Monday after school?" Shiori asked.

The half-and-half hero hummed in thought before looking at his girlfriend.

"We can go to the National History Museum," Todoroki said, "Maybe we can find something about your father."

What Todoroki said made Shiori's heart skip a beat. Todoroki blushed as he took Shiori's hands in his.

"I know how much finding out about your father means to you, and I want to do everything in my power to help you find him." Todoroki said.

Shiori felt tears well up in her eyes.

"Shoto..." Shiori said softly.

Shiori smiled and wrapped her arms around her boyfriend.

"Thank you," she said, "That means... everything to me."

Todoroki grinned and returned the gesture.

Horns VS. Halos - TickleTober2022 Day 25 (Ticklish Non-Human Attribute)

Summary: When Acheron isn’t being respectful towards his superior, Raziel, the artificial Divine decides to teach the Feral a lesson, but we all know Acheron isn’t going down without a fight.

⚠Warning⚠: slight swearing

"You can be so infuriating sometimes; you know that?" Raziel questioned.

"So I've been told," Acheron answered as he sat on a nearby loveseat, "I have that effect on people."

The Divine groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. It was a cloudy Fall afternoon, and Raziel had asked Acheron to join him on a recon mission, but the golden Feral rudely refused. After a few minutes of persuasion and rude comments, Raziel was ready to pop.

"God, why are you like this?" Raziel muttered.

"Heh, you're one to talk." Acheron commented, looking down at his phone.

Raziel felt his wings twitch in irritation. The Elite sighed before walking up to the lax Feral. The older Vadakin sibling glanced at the Elite, their eyes locked, and an unsettling silence passed through them.

"Apologies, Vadakin, but I didn't quite hear what you said," Raziel inquired, his eye twitching in irritation, "Would you mind repeating that for me?"

"What, your ears not working?" Acheron asked, "I said that you're one to talk. You are how you are because you're an overrated sellout lab experiment gone wrong. Did you hear that, lab-rat?"

Raziel sighed and pulled away from the golden Feral.

"Loud and clear, Vadakin..." Raziel growled.

Acheron smirked before looking back at his phone. Then, time started slowing down; to Acheron, anyway. Before the Feral could react, he felt himself moving, but not out of his free will. When time resumed to its regular speed, Acheron found himself underneath the Divine Elite.

"What the hell did you just do!?" Acheron questioned.

"You seem to have forgotten that I have Feral magic, despite me being a Divine," Raziel said, "You also seem to have forgotten who your superior is and how to talk to them."

When Acheron tried to push Raziel off, the Elite swiftly pinned his arms beside his head. Acheron growled before grinning at the Divine.

"What are you trying to get into?" Acheron asked.

"Sorry, but my heart is reserved for someone else," Raziel deadpanned, "And I know your heart is reserved for someone else as well."

Acheron felt his cheeks heat up as he turned away from the Divine.

"S-Shut the hell up..." Acheron mumbled.

"Ooh, did I strike a nerve~?" Raziel asked, leaning in.

Acheron glanced at the Divine and snarled, baring his silver fangs.

"My, the nerve of some people," Raziel deadpanned, "Looks like you need to be taught a lesson, Vadakin."

Raziel smirked as he gripped Acheron's wrist with one hand.

"Since when did you get so strong?" Acheron asked, utterly in shock.

"When did you get so weak?" Raziel countered.

Before Acheron could petrify the Divine, Raziel used his free hand to scribble across the Feral's torso. Acheron inhaled sharply as he started squirming to break loose.
